Latest Dam Levels
We’ve endured gale force winds, rain and snow over the past week but how much difference has it actually made to the dam water levels? Cape Town dams up by a mere 2% on average since last week.
“Unfortunately, the dam levels have only increased by approximately 1.6%. In order for the province to feel some real relief, there would have to be a lot more continuous rain over a long period of time . . . Even if it rains, we cannot think that we can increase our water consumption because that also impacts our dam levels,” Xanthea Limberg told KFM host Pippa Hudson.
