The Sonic NSRI Adventure Day
NSRI Melkbosstrand will host the Koeberg Nature Reserve Open Day on Saturday 8th October from 7am. Guided 4×4 tours of the reserve which is only open to the public with 4×4’s on this one day of the year. Host of stalls and activities for children and the whole family. Rock n Roll Comedy
After a raucously hilarious show earlier in the year, comedy returns by popular demand to Banned Rock Lounge, 10 Marine Circle, Table View on Saturday evening at 8:30pm. With a rock n roll edge to it, this anything goes, no holds barred comedy show is not for the faint hearted. R30 is all it takes to get you in to see some of the best Cape Town has to offer.

Weskus Ou Motorklub
Take a drive down the R27 to the R315 crossing towards Darling at Windhoek Farm between 9am and 4pm Saturday 8th October to view some classic vintage cars. Family fun and West Coast hospitality awaits you. Entrance is R50 per adult and R20 for children. Parking is free of charge.

Grab some Mexican
Desperados is a new Mexican venue recently opened at Eden on the Bay. Pop in for some nachos or a tequila or two. Open from 10am till 2am daily.

Penguin Festival
Take a drive out to Simons Town this Saturday 8th for the annual Penguin Festival and support SANCCOB. Penguin release on Seaforth Beach, braaimaster demo, food trucks and kiddies rides. All funds raised go towards SANCCOB’s rehabilitation work with seabirds, including the iconic endangered African penguin. Click here for more info.

Blessing of the Fleet Festival
Head on down to Jetty no 2 at the V&A Waterfront and join in the Portuguese festivities at the Blessing of the Fleet Festival held this Saturday 8th from 1pm and Sunday 9th October from 10.30am. R10 entrance fee, loads of Portuguese food, dancing and live music to brighten up your weekend.
