Century City Natural Goods Market
It’s time once more for the popular Century City Natural Goods Market to give visitors the chance to eat good, do good, listen good and shop well at the popular summer fair. Cape Town’s ‘bird man’ and his feathered friends are back on Sunday 29th October with Martin Odd, accompanied by Christina the Macaw Parrot and Lady Jane the Harris Hawk to entertain and educate young and old with the Birds of Africa Show. Season of Sauvignon Wine Festival
The Durbanville Wine Valley is ready to welcome visitors and festival goers to visit Sauvignon Country at the annual Season of Sauvignon festival on Saturday, 28th and Sunday, 29th October. The Valley is renowned as an excellent Sauvignon Blanc area and is one of Cape Town’s ‘must-visit’ wine destinations. More info here.

Groote Post Country Market
Head up the R27 this Sunday, 29th October to the popular Groote Post Country Market. The kids will be kept busy with a wide variety of kiddies’ activities – tractor rides, glitter tattoos, guided horse rides and playground. Enter in the 3 lucky draws at 12:30, 13:30 and 14:30. The winners will each receive a hamper with products from the market and wine from Groote Post. Pets are welcome but all dogs must be on a leash at all times. More info here.

Battle of Blaauwberg Walk
Held on Saturday 28th October, this is your chance to follow in the footsteps of the British and Scottish Brigades on their march to the front line. A map and brief of the Battle will be provided to assist in your understanding of this historic event which influenced Africa. More info here.

Beach Shack Launch
The Beach Shack is Cape Town Surf School’s mobile beach kiosk launching this Sunday, 29th October in Small Bay! Pop by and have some cake at the new little beach kiosk. This is a public beach and everyone is welcome. More info here.

23rd Cape Town International Kite Festival
Head to Muizenberg this weekend for Africa’s biggest kite festival. Kiters from around the world will be showing off their incredible creations between 28th and 29th October. Food trucks, live entertainment, a free, supervised toddler zone and free kite-making workshops, it’s a fabulous, affordable family day out.
