Battle Up Blaauwberg Hill Trail Challenge

Join in the Battle Up Blaauwberg Hill Trail Challenge on Saturday 30th September 2017 in the Blaauwberg Conservation Area. The event is brought to you by the West Coast Athletic Club, City of Cape Town and Friends of Blaauwberg Conservation Area.

There will be short (8km) and long (14km) routes over the two hills and through the Blaauwberg Conservation Area. The route is a mixture of jeep track, sand and hiking trail with single file and climbing areas, ideal as an entry level run into trail running. This is a bring your own water event with a refill point on the top of the hill. The reserve has spectacular views, and it’s the only viewpoint in the world from which you can see two proclaimed world heritage sites (Table Mountain and Robben Island).

Entries are limited to 600 to protect the conservation area and runners are encouraged to enter online as early as possible. Entries will be taken on the day provided the limit of 600 has not been reached. Entries for the event close on Thursday 28th September, 2017. The 14km long route entrance fee is R160 and the 8km is R80.
