What’s on this Weekend
With Guy Fawkes and Doodles Birthday Bash happening on Saturday evening, the beachfront is going to be a hive of activity. Get to your venues early as parking is going to be a mission. Loads of other markets and entertainment around the neighbourhood for the weekend too . . . here’s a taste of what’s going down.
FridayZ at Inside Eden
Hip Hop, Deep House and R&B sounds in the house tonight at Inside Eden on the Bay. Resident DJs will be spinning the decks to wallet friendly drink specials. Amarula promo on for the evening too.
Grab a Nob
The NOB truck will be at the Viper Lounge this evening. Pop down and feast on one of these giant sized burgers while you enjoy live music with Westley from 7pm.
Garage Sale
Don’t miss out on the garage sale this Saturday at Home of Hope. Lots of bargains in store, deals on household good, collectibles, toys, baby goods and more. All proceeds go to the Home of Hope who care for abandoned and abused children and children suffering with FASD and HIV. Get there early for the best bargains. 9:30 am – 2pm at 3 Fairbridge Road, Flamingo Vlei.
West Coast Craft Market
It’s market day at the Melkbosstrand Country Club this Saturday from 8am – 5pm. Craft stalls, kids entertainment, licensed bar, potjiekos competition and a fun day out. Ample parkking and free entrance. Click here for more information.
Doodles 25th Birthday Bash
Doodles is an institution in Table View and it’s been 25 years since owner Kaz opened the doors. As with every year, Doodles celebrates it’s birthday, with this year celebrating 25 years in the neighbourhood Doodles has got a massive party planned. Free drinks on arrival, shwarmas, lazer and light show, plus live music and entertainment from 7pm.
Killarney Motor Show
It’s going to be an awesome day this Sunday at Killarney International Raceway, expect a fun-filled day for the entire family. Old cars, new cars, bikes, motorcycle stunts, pedal go-karts for the little ones or with engines for the older kids. Plus you can enjoy a crazy ride in the wacky Afrikaburn mutant vehicles or test-drive a race car. Hover board displays, an ongoing game of paint-ball shoot-out, food, drink, music, vendors, KFM and a WHOLE lot more. Ticket prices to this incredible motor festival are R80.00 for adults, U16: R40.00, U12: free.
