Sharpen your driving skills at Killarney

Killarney International Raceway’s first Street-Car Track Day of 2021 will be run on the afternoon of Saturday 30 January, from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm. After weeks of battling through slow-moving holiday traffic over the festive season, it’s an ideal opportunity to re-focus on precision driving – and to enjoy driving your road car up to its potential, rather than down to a speed limit, in a safe and controlled environment.

There will be the regular sessions for Group 1 (drivers who been on the circuit before but are still building confidence), Group 2 (those with more experience but where overtaking in corners is not allowed) and Group 3, where racing rules apply, each group with experienced road and racing drivers on hand to help improve your skill-set and make you a safer driver on the road.

Places are limited, however, and pre-booking is mandatory for both drivers and passengers. Please note that crash helmets are compulsory; please bring your own as we are unable to supply helmets. Food and refreshments will be available from the upstairs Joubert Pits Lounge for most of the day.

Your car will have to pass a basic safety check before being allowed on the circuit. Killarney also has a strict noise abatement agreement in place with the City of Cape Town; cars that hit the red line on our officially calibrated noise meter will be removed from the circuit.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions NO SPECTATORS will be allowed and strict Covid-19 health and safety protocols among participants will have to be observed. These include compulsory wearing of face masks at all times, strict cleaning protocols and temperature screening of all participants attending.
