What’s on this Weekend
A sunny and hot weekend on the cards. Lot’s happening in the neighbourhood to get you out and about. Here’s a few suggestions to get you on your way.
Sexy Speedo Car Wash
Not exactly a car “wash”, due to the water restrictions, men in speedos will be cleaning your windows and giving your car a vacuum instead. Join Team Mobergstrand at Doodles Beachfront tomorrow from 9am – 2pm and help collect funds for Movember. One FM will be broadcasting live and Mo-Sistas will be on hand to offer you raffle tickets with fab prizes up for grabs.
Blaauwberg Two hills Walk
Be the early bird, get to the Morningstar entrance to the Blauuwberg Reserve just off the N7 for 7.30am Saturday, 19th November and join in the 6km Blaauwberg Two hills Walk. This route is not generally open to the public so take this opportunity to see the reserve fauna and flora, the site where the Battle of Blaauwberg took place and other developments in the Blaauwberg Nature Reserve. Take a hat, sunscreen lotion and wear comfortable clothes and shoes. The walk is limited to 25 people, so booking is essential. You are welcome to take something to eat and drink for a picnic. Jason Saunders Paddle Out
There will be a paddle out at Small Bay in memory of the legend Jason Saunders, Saturday 19th at 3pm. Weather permitting. Follow the page on Facebook for more information.
Dinos Alive
Take kids back to the land before time, when dinosaurs roamed and experience this time-travelling extravaganza. Visit the Dinos Alive exhibition at Cape Gate. The exhibition is open until 8 January, 2017. Rides, sand pit, jumping castle, games, drawing tables, face painting, fossils, food, movies and dinosaurs await you.

Live Music at Blue Peter
Uninterrupted views and a great vibe awaits you at the lower deck of Blue Peter Hotel. Live music on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th. Shane Sinking and Wayne & Bnji Band play some chilled tunes from 4pm on both days.
Celebrate Portuguese Cuisine

Open streets Bellville
Just up the road in Bellville the community will be reclaiming the streets. On Sunday 20th November between 10am and 3pm, Voortrekker Road in Bellville will be dedicated to people instead of cars.
