What’s on 6 – 8 April?
Weekend is here again and we’ve rounded up a few fun things to do. Live music, slot car racing, picnics in the park and loads more to keep you busy this weekend in and around Table View.
NUNSENSE
Kyla Thorburn directs this hilarious musical comedy for the Milnerton Players.
She has gathered a stellar cast of multi-award-winning community actresses to play the roles and bring a highly professional production to the stage. The show runs from 6th – 21st April. More info.
NOB Burgers at Viper
The ever popular larger than large NOB Burgers will be on sale on Friday, 6th April from 5 to 10 pm at The Viper Lounge on Marine Circle.
Race World Grand Opening
Race World, South Africa’s only commercial slot car raceway, will open on Saturday, 7th April at Table View Shopping Centre. Join in the fun between 9 am and 3 pm and race your way around the longest slot car track in the country. Fun day out for the entire family. More info.
Kanimambo at Casa
Get your dancing shoes on and head to the beachfront to listen to the upbeat sounds of Kanimambo playing live from 9 pm on Saturday, 7th April. Special guest appearance from Sam Roy from Smile 94.0 fm.
Major Attention at Doodles
Enjoy live music and drinks as the sun sets at Doodles Beachfront on Saturday, 7th April from 6 pm. All the good old favourites to keep you entertained all night long.
Picnic Concerts
Pack your picnic basket and enjoy live music at various venues around Cape Town this weekend. Morcheeba plays live at Kirstenbosch on Friday 6th April, GoodLuck plays live at Vergenoegd Wine Estate on Sunday 8th April. Best of all is the free concert in De Waal Park on Sunday, 8th April with Prime Circle and Mark Haze. It’s the last of the De Waal Park concerts for the season.
Melkbos Beach Cleanup
Meet at the purple hut in Melkbosstrand on Saturday, 7th April at 10 am and join in the beach cleanup. Bags and gloves are provided. All welcome to join in. Hosted by Cape Town Beach Cleanup who host beach cleanups around Cape Town every first Saturday of the month.
