What’s On 8 – 10 September?

Weekend is upon us, time to wind down and enjoy some time out. We’ve picked out a few things to keep you entertained.

1925Band Live at Poplars
Poplars Friday Night Live Sessions is once again proud to present the highly popular 1925Band.
Watch them perform live at Poplars Backyard on Friday, 8th September from 7pm. Pizza and burgers for sale and a full bar service. Entry is free of charge and lots of heaters to keep you warm. More information here.

Extreme Festival
Hosted at Killarney International Raceway on Saturday, 9th September and sponsored by KFM and Wingfield Motors, The Extreme Festival will be packed with action with bikes and cars revving all day. Airbag jumps, dart soccer, inflatable parachute rocket, bumper cars and pedal cars will entertain the little ones, plus there’s the fanwalk, car and truck displays and a whole bunch more. La Veneziana Ice Cream Tasting
Grab the kids and head down to Killarney Gardens to La Veneziana Ice Cream and enlighten your tastebuds while you taste over 13 different ice creams. Tickets are R30 for adults, R20 for children and under 3’s is free. Factory shop open for sales. More information here.

Holistic Fayre
Held in Bothasig on Saturday, 9th September at the Bothasig Community Hall you will find a magical marketplace of exhibitors offering crystals, jewelry, books, cards, sun catchers, spiritual kits, incense, pendulums, divination tools, divine food, talks, drumming and a whole bunch of love. Live Music at Blue Peter
Head for sundowners at the Blue Peter Hotel on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and enjoy live music from various local bands. Music starts around 4pm ending around 7pm. Weather permitting.

Indonesian Day
Not quite Table View but this event is worth a mention. Hosted by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia on Saturday 9th September in Kenilworth. Here is your chance to experience the culture and cuisine of Indonesia. More information here.

Mark Haze – A tribute to Bon Jovi and the Masters of Rock
Join Mark Haze on Sunday, 10th September as he pays tribute to one of the music world’s greatest hit-makers and one of his childhood heroes, Bon Jovi. Mark and his band will also pay tribute to the classic rock era and the songs that shaped the world of Rock n’ Roll from The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Journey and many many more! More information here.

Market at the Barn
Held on Sunday 10th September in Durbanville opposite Corobrik, this indoor market has over 50 stalls, lots of food, fun and arts and crafts. Held every Sunday between 10am and 3pm. More information here.
