What’s on 3 – 5 November

Time to get the weekend on! Just in case you haven’t got anything planned. We’ve rounded up a couple of things for you to do.

Sundowners at Khwattu San
End off the week at Khwattu San with sundowners and spectacular views for sunset. This event happens the first Friday of the month throughout summer. R80 per person, includes a scenic drive and snack platter. Cash bar available. Strictly no BYO. More info.

Milnerton Players Social Evening
Enjoy a “Triple Bill” in the main auditorium at Milnerton Playhouse this Friday, 3rd November at the Milnerton Players Social Evening. Excerpts from Constantia Theatre Players “The Birdcage”, the forthcoming musical “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” and a one-act play reading “With This Ring”.  Just R10 entry at the door – no booking required. Coffee Bar and Milly’s Bar will be open. Doors open at 7.15 for 8.00 pm.

Live Music evening at Rondeberg
For something different, head to Rondeberg Nursery just off the N7 on Friday 3rd November and chill with John McGuinness and Vince Lewis as they perform popular songs for you. Take along a picnic and your drinks and enjoy an evening out under the stars. Starts at 7.30pm.

Open Air Movie: Me Before You
The Galileo Open Air Cinema presents Me Before You at Meerendal Wine Estate, under the stars on Friday 3rd November. Tickets range from R89 – R175. Doors open at 6 pm. The movie starts at 7:45 pm. A variety of food, alcohol and hot and cold beverages will available for sale, cash only. No alcohol to be taken into Meerendal Wine Estate, but will be on sale. More info.

Halloween Party
Join in the fun and festivities this Saturday, 4th November at The Royal Oak Pub on Marine Circle. Not only is the pub celebrating Halloween, it’s their 24th birthday celebration too. Biltong broomsticks, Jager girls, jello shots, DJ, prizes and the chance to take a photo with Captain Morgan. Party starts at 7.30 pm. More info.

Joe Cocker Tribute Show
Patrick Canovi’s “Kiss the Sky” presents the Joe Cocker Tribute Show on Sunday 5th November at Hillcrest Quarry. Featuring Jonathan Laing as Joe Cocker who will be singing all his greatest songs. The band also have two sets of rock classics lined up for you. Doors open at 13:30 for 14:30. Food and drinks available. Entry is R80pp and children under 12 free. West Coast Craft Market
Head to Melkbosstrand Country Club on Sunday, 5th November for the monthly West Coast Craft Market. Over 60 stalls, loads of arts, crafts, delicious treats and entertainment for the kids. Opens at 10 am till 3 pm.

Fireworks at the Beachfront
As much as many are against fireworks being set off on the beachfront, earlier this year the City of Cape Town agreed to keep the venue the same. Read more about it here.
