What’s on 10 – 12 November

Let’s get the weekend on. Weather is looking pleasant and loads of interesting events happening around Table View. Here’s a couple of ideas.

Doodles Birthday Bash
Start off  the weekend at Doodles Beachfront who are celebrating their 26th Birthday on Friday 10th November. This Summer Beach Party is free entry for all, complementary Corona on arrival, vodka jelly syringes and the first 400 peeps get a free burger. Party starts at 6pm, so get there early!

Blouberg Discovery Open Day
Elkanah House will be welcoming the community at their Discovery Open Day on Saturday, 11 November between 10 am and 12 pm.  Teachers will be hosting interactive campus tours which will include learn-through-play activities to give you an opportunity to experience how children learn at Elkanah House. Great coffee and food stalls so you can make a morning of it.

Arno Carstens at Blue Peter
The Durbanville Children’s Home presents Arno Carstens – The Intimate Sessions, live at The Blue Peter Hotel on Friday 10th November at 7pm. Arno’s set includes hits from his career as front man of The Springbok Nude Girls, many of the beloved and most celebrated songs from his career as a platinum selling, award winning English solo artist and some popular cover tracks. Holistic Fayre Pre Christmas Market
Get some early Christmas shopping done this Saturday, 11th November at the Holistic Fayre at the Bothasig Community Hall. FIA World RX at Killarney
The wait is over, the FIA World Rally champs hits Killarney this weekend!  This is the final FIA World Rallycross event of the year so expect an entertaining adrenalin packed weekend with of edge-of-your-seat, non-stop action. This is the first time in history this international event will be hosted on Cape Town soil. A great event for petrol heads not to miss. More info.

Axenmore live at Hillcrest
Axenmore is back at Hillcrest Quarry Sunday, 12th November with their latest show – Rock of Ages.
Join a fun filled afternoon mellow songs mixed with the party and rock. You’ll get to hear covers from bands like Prince, ACDC, 4 Non Blondes, Linkin Park, Bon Jovi, Wild Stripes, The Cranberries, Tracy Chapman, Gary Moore, The Doors and many more. Craft Workshops at Hangar 18
These Craft Workshops are held every Saturday, hosted by some very talented and creative souls. Make some time for yourself and join a Workshop. On Saturday 11th November you can try your hand at Upcycling using Beads and Wire with Andrew. You will get to take home your creations after every workshop.
