Table View SAPS Welcomes New Police Chief

Table View SAPS recently introduced Colonel Tjikama Markus Mbangu as the new police chief, succeeding Colonel Junaid Alcock, who served as the station commander for 11 months before transferring to Athlone SAPS.

Colonel Mbangu, previously the station commander at Athlone police station, brings 32 years of police experience to his new role. Married with three children (two boys and a girl), he holds a national diploma and a BTech degree in policing.

David Harris, chairman of the Table View Community Police Forum, extended a warm welcome to Colonel Mbangu, expressing confidence in his leadership. Harris stated, “Colonel Mbangu can anticipate the full cooperation of the Table View CPF and security forum partners in the ongoing efforts to combat crime.”
