News of the Bayside Mall redevelopment has spread throughout the Table View community as the much-loved shopping destination embarks on a journey of rejuvenation. Located in the heart of the Table View and Parklands areas, Bayside Mall has been a part of the community for many years, with many shoppers sharing stories of their earliest memories at Bayside Mall.

The redevelopment is currently underway and unfolding in a series of meticulously planned phases to ensure an easy transition for tenants and shoppers alike. The project will entail improving several key areas, including introducing more on-grade parking, adding access and egress points, and providing dedicated parking for taxis. These measures aim to alleviate parking-related congestion to ensure a more convenient and refined shopping experience.

Most notably, the mall is repositioning the main anchor tenant, Checkers, and introducing Shoprite to the tenant mix. Locating each on opposite ends of the centre will provide a more balanced feel to the centre.

Centre Manager Aadilah Ryklief’s excitement is contagious: “Exciting changes are already taking place, with Craft Hair Crew relocation to a new store close to Sorbet to better cater to our shopper’s beauty needs. Absolute Pets has also unveiled a brand new store opposite PEP for the latest in pet care. Nedbank will also be relocating to a new store at Entrance 2, while Value Co is set to unveil its new location in October. All of these changes are the right pieces falling into place.”

Bayside Mall will be open for trade throughout the redevelopment period, and while there may be some disruption, shoppers can be assured that they are transient, making way for a truly extraordinary transformation. Centre Manager Aadilah Ryklief continues: “We aim to create a revitalised space and offering our customers can enjoy with their families. We believe the end result will be a quality product that all stakeholders can be proud of, and shoppers will not be able to resist.”
