New World Record for Table View

Saturday afternoon saw our beachfront packed with kitesurfers. In total 415 of them gathered to set the new Guinness World Record for the “largest parade of kitesurfers”, beating the previous record held by Spain with 352 kitesurfers.

Weather conditions were spot on for the event and the entire beachfront from Dolphin Beach to Doodles was hiving with activity. Just over R145 000 was raised for charity.

Aaron Hadlow and Kevin Langeree, both previous winners of the Red Bull King of the Air participated in the Kitesurfing Armada along with other King of the Air riders to help break the record. They are in town for the Red Bull King of the Air 2016 competition taking place at Big Bay over the next 2 weeks.
