Friday 4th October is World Animal Day: Join the Cape Animal Welfare Forum, Hills and the City of Cape Town at Killarney International Raceway and help set a new world record for the number of dogs taking part in a moonlight dog walk. The target is to get 1000 paws on the circuit, so we need a minimum of 250 dogs and their humans.

The aim is to raise funds for the Cape Animal Welfare Forum and help to sustain the efforts of non-government organisations in relieving the suffering of animals living within indigent communities across the Cape Metropole. They provide a welfare veterinary hospital service concentrating on a number of important areas of work including sterilisation and primary health care. The family-friendly venue offers music, food, stall and a kids corner from 5:00pm. Registration opens at 5:30pm for either a two-kilometre or three-kilometre walk, both starting at 7:15pm.Entry is R60 for dogs, R30 for humans and free for humans under 16, and includes a free Hill’s Woofy Bag for each waggy tail!
