Heritage Talk – Blaauwberg Conservation Area
Join the Friends of Blaauwberg Conservation Area for a Heritage Talk on Saturday 23rd September 2017.
‘Discovering the significance of Blaauwberg Valley on the cultural heritage of the West Coast’ is a talk by Marius Breytenbach who researched the Blaauwberg Valley Outspan for his Masters degree, and has many interesting facts to share. Learn all about Blaauwbergsvlei, the long history and importance of the V.O.C expansion to the west coast region and more.
Meet at the Environmental Education Cabin at Eerste Steen Resort, Big Bay at 9.30am. You may wish to follow the talk with a casual walk up Blaauwberg Hill and enjoy the spectacular views and a picnic lunch.
