Groote Post Country Market

Don’t miss out on the next Groote Post Country Market on Sunday 27th November.  Sunshine radio will be broadcasting live between 10am and 3pm. The terrace alongside the cellar will be a hive of activity, brimming with delicious and beautiful country offerings. Visitors can relax in the shade under the trees in front of Hilda’s Kitchen while tucking into delicious eats from the market.

All the old favourite stalls will be back, as well as some new exciting ones. Guests can expect artisan foods including Darling gourmet produce, arts and crafts, home-ware and décor, and of course, Groote Post’s well-loved wines including their Rosé which is made exclusively for the monthly markets.

Groote Post’s award-winning restaurant, Hilda’s Kitchen, will be open but please note that booking is essential.

Kids will be delighted to know they can engage in loads of activities including the playground, horse-riding, water-balls, tractor rides and face painting.

Although pets are most welcome – all dogs must be on a leash at all times. Visitors arriving without their dogs on a leash will be given an option to buy one from the SPCA stall or hire one at the information stall.

Entry to the Groote Post Country Market is free of charge.

The December market will be held on Sunday, 18th December and visitors can expect all things Christmas with decorations and gifts and Father Christmas entertaining the children as well as festive vibes from a SUMMER CONCERT presented by local artists.

Directions
Follow the R27, the West Coast Road towards Langebaan. Turn right onto the Darling Hills Road opposite Grotto Bay turnoff. After 10 km, turn right to the Groote Post cellar. Alternatively, take the R307 out of Darling towards Cape Town and turn off at the Darling Hills Road. After 7km turn left to the Groote Post Cellar.
