COVID-19 Testing Station at Table Bay Mall
Dis-chem Pharmacies has set up a number of COVID 19 drive-though testing sites around the country, one of them at Table Bay Mall. Here’s what you need to know.
• You can find the testing station in the basement parking Entrance 1 off Berkshire Boulevard in the section of the basement marked in blue.
• The basement will be utilized for the purpose of testing only and nobody else will be allowed in the basement area for the duration of the testing period.
• Tests will be carried out by fully trained registered nurses. The test being used is the same as the one presently utilised by healthcare practitioners and they are carried out exactly as they are at various laboratories.
• The cost of the test is R850.00. Payment method is card only.
• Tests are done on weekdays (except Public Holidays) between 09h00 and 16h00, no bookings required.
• Patients remain in the car during the entire process. Should you not own a vehicle, the testing facility also serves as a walkthrough testing site.
• All results will be logged through the NICD so that it can go through to the DOH.
• All staff will be wearing protective gear and there will be proper medical waste disposal.
• Once tests are done and the results are in, the Clinic call centre will be in touch with the results.
• All information will be confidential within the clinic department.
• Testing available based on space availability and while testing kit stock lasts.
