Last of the long weekends for a while and there’s loads going on around the neighbourhood. Live music, markets, soccer and more. Here’s our pick of 10 things to get up to.

The Rivertones live at Poplars
Enjoy a Jamaican jam session on Friday, 27th April at Poplars in Durbanville. Great rocking reggae beats and festive Jamaican fare at Poplars Restaurant. Special guest appearance with Patrick Canovi who will be rocking some Santana tributes. R50 cover charge. More info.

Adventure Bike Open Day
The first adventure bike open day kicks off this Saturday, 28th April at Killarney’s new adventure track. Meet Dakar competitors Donovan Van De Langenberg, David Thomas and Kobus Potgieter. Anyone with a road legal adventure or dual sports bike is welcome. Gates open at 9 am and track entry at 10 am. Entrance is free unless you are riding. More info.


Peter Rabbit at Table Bay Mall
Hop on over to Table Bay Mall on Saturday, 28th April for a Peter Rabbit event at Exclusive Books. An entertaining morning for the little ones sponsored by Penguin books. You will need to email events@exclusivebooks.co.za to reserve your little one a spot.

Derby Day
Football fans can enjoy a day of action at Table View Football Club and Sunningdale Football Club on Saturday, 28th April when Tableview FC and Sunningdale FC go head to head. Show your support and see who will have the bragging rights for the year. More info.

Lego Exhibition
LEGO® lovers should head to Willowbridge in Durbanville on Saturday, 28th April from 9 am. Prepare to be amazed by some of the best LEGO® sets of today and yesteryear, custom creations, and a LEGO® city, built by CapeLUG and zaLUG members.Visitors also stand the change to win one of five LEGO® sets. Late Final at Hillcrest
Make your way to Hillcrest Quarry on Saturday, 28th April from 4 to 10 pm and rock your day away with one of Cape Town’s favourite bands, Late Final. This is an indoor concert so you can book a table or casual seating for just R100 a person. Other artists include The Stremes with Wayne Pauli and Pebbleman with Richard Pryor & Jesse Jordan.  Tickets online at quicket or pay at the door. 

Groote Post Country Market
Held on Sunday, 29th April at the beautiful Groote Post Wine Estate between 10 am and 3 pm. Gourmet foods, arts, crafts and entertainment for young and old. Riaan from Old School Entertainment will be the DJ at the market to entertain you. More info.

Century City Natural Goods Market
The Century City Natural Goods Market will take place on Sunday, 29th April 2018 between 9 am and 2 pm, this is the last day market for summer and will be back again in September. Read more about it here.

Live Music at Town & Country Bush Pub
Catch the dynamic duo of David Goldberg and Bruce Williams this Sunday 29th April between 2 and 5 pm at the Town & Country Bush Pub. Grab your picnic blankets, dancing shoes and clapping hands and enjoy a chilled afternoon with some of Cape Town’s finest musos. Springbok Nude Girls
