Day Zero Moves Forward

Recent high water usage has brought Day Zero closer by in excess of three weeks to around the end of April 2018.

Day Zero is the day that most of the taps in the city will be turned off. People will have to queue for water at various sites across the peninsula. Although some essential services will stay connected, almost all residential suburbs will be cut off.

Level 6 water restrictions will come into effect from 1st January 2018 and all households who use more than 10,5 kilolitres per month will have a water management device fitted.
