Snow in November?
Yes, Snow Report SA predicted snow fall this week in the Western Cape. Although not directly affecting Cape Town, it was an interesting occurrence for this time of the year.

“We are expecting snow in the Western Cape and Eastern Cape, heavy falls in Lesotho and the Eastern Cape Drakensberg, medium/light falls on the KZN Drakensberg, possibly coming down into towns like Underberg and Himeville, although not much expected low down, and some flurries in the KZN Midlands.
Snow is now expected further west in the Western Cape, incorporating Matroosberg (about 10cm expected on the peak tonight). Also more snow possible on the Groot Swartberg, and possibly a dusting for the Outeniquas.
* Tuesday – Western Cape and western parts of the EC
* Wednesday – Eastern Cape and Lesotho
* Thursday – Eastern Cape, Lesotho and KZN

This system is accompanied by a lot of rain, and the public are urged to listen to warnings from their local municipalities and the South African Weather Service. Disruptions and flooding are possible in many areas.” – Snow Report SA.
