Weather is looking super for the first weekend of spring with an expected high of 28°c on Sunday. Loads of markets in the mix so no excuse to stay indoors. Here’s our pick of things to get up to this weekend.

Atlantic Beach Estate Night Market
Head down to Atlantic Beach Estate and treat yourself to a variety of delicious foods, browse interesting craft stalls and enjoy a live band. It’s all happening this Friday, 1st September from 5.30 – 9 pm. More info here.

Cheap as Chips Spring Market
Held in Paarden Eiland at The Shred Indoor Skate Park, Friday 1st September from 5pm to 9pm. Super deals on a wide range of gear. You definitely won’t be dissappointed. There will also be a mini ramp jam for all those who are up for winning some prizes. More info here.

1 Ton 1 Day Beach Cleanup
Help clean up the beaches from Melkbos to Milnerton on Saturday 2nd September from 10am. Held at various beaches, the aim is to pick up 1 ton of rubbish in 1 day. More info here.

Community Market Day
Support local charities on Saturday 2nd September between 10am and 2pm at the Table View Primary School. Fun activities for the entire family with kids rides, games, face painting and lots more. Food and drink stalls. More info here.

NSRI Melkbosstrand Open Day
In honour of the NSRI’s 50th year in service, NSRI Melkbosstrand will host an open day at the Rescue Station in Melkbosstrand. Members of the public
are welcome to visit the base and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with the crew while being shown around. Held on Saturday 2nd September between 11am and 4pm.

Hangar 18 Indoor Artisan Market
Milnerton’s only indoor market. Arts, crafts and loads of creativity situated at this unique coffee shop. Grab some friends and enjoy a cappuccino while shopping and supporting local artisans on Saturday 2nd September between 9am and 12pm. More info here.

West Coast Craft Market
Held at the Melkbosstrand Country Club on Sunday 3rd September from 10am. Over 60 stalls of arts, crafts and food. Relax in the seating area while the kids play on the jumping castle and enjoy other fun activities. More info here.

Tribute to Uriah Heep and Deep Purple
Back by public demand, Patrick Canovi’s “Kiss the Sky” will present the Uriah Heep / Deep Purple Show for the second time on Sunday 3rd September from 2pm. There will be an opening and closing set of other rock classics too, including hits from Joe Cocker. Full bar and meals available at the indoor venue at Hillcrest Quarry. The first market of spring sees Camphill Village at its greenest with daisies and spring flowers. Enjoy the usual eclectic market offering of great food, creative crafts and organic produce.
