What’s on for the Weekend
Long weekend and Father’s Day all in one, it’s sure to be a busy one. We’ve rounded up a few things to keep you entertained all weekend.
Friday Night Live Sessions : Jack Stone
Described as soulful, gentle and smooth, yet bold and powerful with character, the extraordinary singer-songwriter and producer, Jack Stone is once again performing live at Poplars Backyard on Friday 16th June from 7pm. Free entrance. Food and drinks served throughout performance.
Killarney Street Car Track Day
If you want to get your car on the track and try your skills at racing, head to Killarney on Saturday 17th June. Make sure your car is in good nick, take a helmet (or hire one on the day), closed shoes and a long sleeve top. Click here for more information.
Pit Pals Kennel Building Day
Lend a helping hand to Pit Pals on Saturday 17th June from 10am and assist in building kennels. Grab some tools and head out to Klein Dassenberg near Atlantis. Visit the event page here for a list of tools needed on the day.
Father’s Day Potjiekos Competition
Sandown Retail Crossing will be hosting a Father’s Day Potjie competition at the centre from 10am, Saturday 17th June. Click here for more information.
Father’s Day Lego Building
Here’s something different to do with Dad. Build a motorised Sand Buggy / 4×4 out of Lego at Young Engineers, Blouberg. 2 Sessions on Saturday 17th June at 11.30am – 1pm or 3pm-4.30pm. R150 for a team. Click here for more information.
Potjie Night for St Luke’s Hospice
Head to the Royal Oak Pub on Marine Circle from 3pm, Saturday 17th June and enjoy delicious potjies. R35 a plate of Potjie and R15 for dessert. All proceeds go to St Luke’s Hospice.
