Red Bull King of the Air 2016
Red Bull King of the Air is South Africa’s biggest and most extreme kiteboarding competition. 24 Of the world’s greatest competing to be crowned King of The Air.
For the fourth year running the competition will be held at Big Bay with the window period between 30th January to 14th February 2016 – the competition being run on the windiest day, if possible. Let’s hope the wind plays it’s part, last year it was a bit of touch and go as the South-Easter almost didn’t show.
In 2015 we saw a record number of spectators and the vibe was electric, this year will no doubt be bigger and better so make sure you get down to Big Bay and be a part of the thrills and action.
King of the Air is an invitational event, so only the 24 invited riders are allowed to enter the event competition. Aaron Hadlow from the UK won the 2015 Red Bull King of the Air with Kevin Langeree, previous title holder from the Netherlands hot on his heels.
