Humewood Drive Road Resurfacing
As part of the regular maintenance of our roads, CoCT will be resurfacing 3 sections of Humewood Drive in November.
The largest section is 370m from the greenbelt next to the Full Gospel Church on the Western end to Chesterfield Way and will be done first. The next section will be 60m from Elmwood Close to just before the Ringwood Drive circle. The last section will be 80m in front of Torquay Close. The contractor will be working West to East.
From next week, teams will be starting preparation and kerb-work. The ‘tarring’ will start around the 8th of November and should take about 2 weeks to complete. Road markings with be re-painted 2 weeks after the tarring to allow the surface to cure before applying the final paint. Work will take place Mon-Fri from 8am – 6pm to prevent disturbance on the weekends, evenings.
Work will be done in one lane at a time so the road will remain open but please expect traffic disruptions due to stop-and-go controls. MyCiti users and parents of scholars at the Blouberg International School are advised to allow additonal time for travel or use alternate routes.
