Water Disruption 16 November

The City advises of water supply disruption in the Sunningdale, West Beach, Bloubergstrand, Sandown Estate and Parklands areas.

The City’s Water and Sanitation Department will be doing urgent repairs to a leak on the 450mm diameter water supply main to the Sunningdale, West Beach, Bloubergstrand, Sandown Estate and Parklands areas on Tuesday, 16 November 2021.

This will require that the water supply to these areas be shut off to enable the maintenance crew to do the work safely.

This will result in the disruption of the water supply to these areas on 16 November 2021 from 09:00 until 16:00.

Some areas will experience low water pressure while others will have no water at all.

Consumers are advised to store water upfront in clean, sealed containers for domestic use during this period.

Consumers are kindly requested to keep their taps closed during this period to prevent any water wastage and / or damage when the water supply is restored.

The City sincerely regrets any inconvenience, but it is imperative that it maintains its water supply infrastructure to benefit its consumers.
