Blaauwberg Nature Reserve Declared Provincial Heritage Site

The Blaauwberg Nature Reserve has been declared a provincial heritage site along with 4 other sites including the Princess Vlei in Retreat, The Gugulethu 7 Memorial and The Langa Pass Office.

All the sites are now listed as unique, they all closely connected to events and figures of provincial significance and enrich the beauty and heritage of the cultural, historical and social development of the Western Cape.

Now, Blaauwberg Nature Reserve is protected at the highest level in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act 25 of 1999.
