9 Ways to Celebrate Mandela Day

“The world remains beset by so much human suffering, poverty and deprivation. It is in your hands, to make of our world, a better one for all” – Nelson Mandela, 2008

Launched in 2009 on Mandela’s birthday, 18th July, Mandela Day aims to change the world for the better and empower communities locally and globally. We’ve compiled a few ideas for you to get involved this Mandela Day around Table View.

Make Sandwiches at Atlantic Beach Hotel
Devote 67 minutes of your time making sandwiches for the less fortunate on Sunday 17th July at the Atlantic Beach Hotel. The Hotel will provide sandwich making facilities between 10am and 2pm. In 2015 over 1500 sandwiches were made. There will also be a collection point for clothes, blankets and tinned food. Click here for more info.
